In March 2019 we acquired the Tradewind 35 “Sagarmatha” an extremely well built and capable blue water cruiser originally built for the designer John Rock.
In spite of the restrictions imposed on us by a global pandemic we successfully sailed Sagarmatha from Panama to the Azores Islands on our journey to the United Kingdom. In doing so we sailed several thousand miles together, completing our solo qualifying race entry passage and gaining invaluable experience towards a successful campaign for the Golden Globe Race 2022.
Following an extensive refit Sagarmatha completed a singlehanded circumnavigation of the world via the three great capes after 287 days.
A proven, solid and seaworthy boat, a minor refit to include some small modifications based on my experience and Sagarmatha will be ready for her second tour of the world!
